荷美尔中国区总经理顾海江先生升任亚太区总裁

荷美尔食品公司今天宣布,亚太区总裁Don Gadsden将于今年年底退休。中国区总经理顾海江先生将晋升为亚太区总裁,并继续担任中国区总经理。

Hormel Foods today announced the upcoming retirement of Don Gadsden, president of Asia Pacific, at the end of the year. As a result, Norman Gu, general manager of China, will advance to President of Asia Pacific and remain as GM of China.

顾海江先生服务于荷美尔中国近20年,他于2003年加入荷美尔担任餐饮销售经理,逐步承担更多的业务管理职责并晋升销售总监。2014年顾海江担任销售和市场副总裁,并于2016年晋升为中国区总经理,在过去的七年中带领中国团队实现了创纪录的业绩和增长。

Norman Gu has 20 years of service with Hormel Foods in China. He began his career in foodservice sales in 2003 and grew in progressive commercial responsibility to the role of sales director and then vice president of sales and marketing in 2014. Gu was then promoted to general manager of China in 2016 and has led the business to record growth and performance results over the last seven years.

顾海江先生对食品行业充满热情,他和他的团队通过零售、餐饮、电商和出口的强大平衡业务模式,使业务能够在非常复杂的环境中保持持续增长。顾海江先生认为创新是成功的关键,荷美尔中国采用以消费者为中心的思维方式,于2019年推出“轻享牛肉干”系列,成为荷美尔在中国市场最成功的新品。之后,团队加速创新,推出了不同品类的各种新产品,这些创新涵盖了零售和餐饮领域。在他的领导下,为履行长期增长承诺,荷美尔食品在中国设立了亚太创新中心,不仅支持中国市场,还支持亚太地区的其他市场发展。除此以外,顾海江还领导数字化转型,这是继续以更有效的方式确保业务增长的另一个关键。

Norman has a big passion for the food sector, Norman and his team developed the business with a strong balance business model with B2B, B2C, and e-commerce that allow the business continually grow YOY in very complex environments. Norman also believes innovation is key to success. Using consumer-centricity thinking approaches, Hormel China launched beef jerky in 2019, and it became the most successful new product in China market. After that, the team accelerate the innovation and launched various new products across different categories, and those innovations covered Retail and Foodservice segments. Under his leadership and in fulfilling long-term growth commitment, Hormel Foods set up the APAC Innovation Center in China, it not only supports China market and many other markets in the region. Norman also leads digital transformation which is another critical step to continue to ensure business growth in a very efficient way.

同时,顾海江先生热心参与商界组织及活动,于2021年至2022年担任上海美国商会董事会董事,并在2019年至2020年期间,担任商会食品、农业和饮料委员会的联席主席。顾海江拥有人民大学工商管理硕士学位,并在中欧工商管理学院的高管发展课程完成深造。

Norman is passionate to support the business community. He served as Board Governor at AmCham Shanghai from 2021 to 2022. And also served as co-chair of the Food, Agriculture, and Beverage Committee from 2019 to 2020 in the chamber. Norman received his MBA from Renmin University of China and completed the Executive Development Program at CEIBS.
